AC Question

I've been using the Samsung cable that came with the phone, and connected it in the USB of my car, and Android Auto works for EXACTLY 5 minutes, then shuts off from my car's screen, but when I open the phone, Android Auto is still on, and the phone is still claiming to be connected to my car. After Android Auto shuts off from my car, it will do the Reading the USB, but then say the phone is not responding. This problem occurred just this week. Not sure if a new update was released and automatically downloaded and installed.

I'm seeing the exact same issue since June 29, 2017 with my Pixel XL on a Hyundai Sonata 2016. Not happy about this!

I have exactly the same issue with AA on Galaxy S6 on Hyundai Sonata 2015 since a week ago or so! I have used all the tricks of emptying cache and updating all apps and reconnecting the bluetooth as well as new usb cables, no luck; obviously the root cause is the AA app as it used to be working with the same setup for a long time.

I have exactly the same issue with my Galaxy S7, started last Friday, I noticed there was ans Android Auto update and a Google Map update. I have to reconnect the phone every 5 minutes, after it disconnects I get a error message that the connection was lost, I have tried different cables, same issue.

What cable are you using with your Pixel XL? They say to use the stock cable, but it's type C to type C, which won't work of course.

Mine tries to connect a few times, fails, tries again, plays a few minutes, then eventually connects for good. I also have debugging mode on.

Almost identical problem with Moto phone and Hyundai Santa Fe. Works great for a bit, disconnects without AA icon on screen, icon returns, I connect works for a bit, quits again, finally quits for good. Such potential, so frustrating. What gives?

You'd think AA was still in beta; it definitely doesn't look like something that's been out for almost 3 years! Google really cropped the bed on this one.
