I have a 2017 Honda cr-v and although the vehicle recognizes my phone, I'm unable to use Android auto on the screen. I've tried all kinds of options. The one thing I haven't is using the original charge cord, as my dog destroyed it as a puppy. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this from the Android Apps forum to the Android Auto forum for more specific traffic.

You don't necessarily need the original cable, but it would be worth trying a bunch of different cables, in case the one you're using now isn't ideal for data transfer.

Also, can you confirm that your car's system has Android Auto built-in? I can imaging that on some devices, Android Auto might be an extra you have to pay for.

AA does not work on CR-V via usbC to usbA. I am purchasing a DVI to usbC, and will report back.
