I would like to see some side by side browser comparisons. Things like, can the G-1 support flash and how msexchange webaccess works on the device. Is there any exchange compatibility like the iphone has now. I saw your last post and look forward to seeing if you are successful. It would be sweet if the calender would sync.

Re: Round Robin webcast

It was long but I learned a few things. Rene likes to talk. Casey doesn't. No one likes the Fuze much and the closed ecosystem of the BlackBerry is bothersome. The iPhone is the favorite second device. The new Palm OS is expected to be good but may be too late. Everyone is looking forward to how Android evolves and are amazed at how fast it is developing.

will there be any more reviews? its getting a little stale... or any inside to the cupcake team anyone?

We are waiting in great anticipation for Dieter's final take on the G1 and especially Android. He seemed disappointed with the music capabilities in the webcast--his standards must be higher than mine because I find it pretty good.

the native music app is not as appealing and easy to navigate than iPhone thats for sure.. but the speaker is pretty loud and clear....

video play back too, and still not happy with the apps in the market for it

o i just installed doggcatcher today.. pretty good app to install and update podcast on the G1 automatically over wifi and 3G

Does anyone know if Last.fm works on the G1? If it doesn't what is everyone currently using to stream music to the G1? Also, has anyone been using an unlocked G1 just as a wifi device?

The aLastFM player opp works, but it can be a little buggy at times.

thats wat the trackball is for.

Thanks,

I don't like to have to use the Touch Screen.
And yet I haven't liked the devices that don't have a Touch Screen.
I'm not sure why I am the way I am, but I want a Touch Screen but I want to get around without having to touch the screen.

I've said it before, I'll say it again; Android may be just perfect. :D

Thanks for the follow up chuazy and Paul, I am looking to get either a G1 or some other Android phone that comes out in the new year, though I can't really say I like the idea of a touch screen without a hard qwerty keyboard. The G1 keyboard looks larger than my current eNv from LG and I think that I would probably like it. I've looked at the Blackberry, Treo and other smart phone keyboards before but never found any that I liked until the eNv. I have a buddy with an iPhone but I don't like the soft keyboard on it. Blahhh! Gotta have a good keyboard for me. So I'm hoping that there are a lot of new Android phones coming soon.

G1 is a cool device.. especially if you are a geek... =D

get it while its still exclusive to have one!

The eNv is a strange looking phone, even more so than the G1. ;) The major difference between them is the G1's big touch screen and open OS. If you can wait 6 to 9 months I'm sure there will be several more Android choices and carriers (at least Sprint, anyway).

Yea, the open OS and bigger touch screen are big selling point to me on top of that I use Google a lot. As for waiting 6 months, I've waited this long for a really good game changing smart phone OS, I suppose that I could wait a while longer. When I get one though, I want to make sure it has a really good qwerty keyboard, stream high quality stereo music and basically be the life organizer that I've been hoping for year would come out. And, well, Android looks to me like it fits the bill for my tall order.
