I use libGDX. I don't use the Scene2D stuff - it adds a layer of complication to things IMHO - would be good for puzzler/tile type games I would imagine though. They have a new project set-up process using Gradle which I like - allows some of the libGDX framework to be removed that results in smaller APKs. Documentation is OK - but Google is your very helpful friend here.
