Does Samsung Smart Switch continuously update its backup file(s)?

[Android Central Question]

I want to know that as soon as the Android fails or needs replacing there is a Backup file ready to Restore to the new phone! I am also backing up on my PC as that seems a safer bet. Do I have to delete the existing Android Backup and start again to update???

Unless you physically run a back up using SS, the back up files do not change.

You have to update smart switch with a new back up if you change something. And it can hold more then one back up.
