How do I stop Sync disable from happening

I'm frequently getting "sync disabled" when I try to look at emails.. how can I prevent this from happening

Welcome to Android Central! Which device? Any power-saving modes turned on, or 3rd party battery-saver or "RAM booster" apps installed? Does this happen in Safe Mode?
