Yup, that should work. Just remember this is for external storage and new Android versions do not allow for apps' main files to be installed in external memory (additional app files like media or extra downloads can, but not the main app file).

Welcome to Android Central! Also, beware of counterfeit cards, which have much less storage than they report. Counterfeits are more common when buying through random online sellers, especially if you find an unbelievable bargain for a supposedly large capacity card.
