I would like a simple app that shows mw that I am connected to my Wi-Fi. Ideally there would be a small icon at the top left of the screen that tells me if I am connected or not. A swipe down might tell me which Wi-Fi it is. I want to avoid using a lot of data if I am not connected. I have looked into a few apps, but they provide so much more and ask for permissions that I am reluctant to grant.

By default there's already an icon in the top right that indicates WiFi connectivity, and swiping down can show what network it's connected to.
