Welcome to Android Central! I agree, the battery probably failed -- either that, or the motherboard failed. Plug it into a wall outlet and let it charge undisturbed for about 6 hours, then press and hold Power for 30 seconds. Does anything happen?

Probably best bet take it to repair center to have it further diagnosis.
