All of a sudden, when I answer calls on my tablet, I cannot hear the caller.

Starting about 3 weeks ago, when I try to answer calls on my wi-fi only Samsung GalaxySTab 5e via call and text on other devices, I cannot hear the caller, though they can hear me. However, it's not every caller, and if I make the call tablet, I can hear the person I'm calling fine.

Welcome to Android Central! If possible, try clearing the app cache/data for the Call and Text on Other Devices app in Settings>Apps.

Can try reboot your router maybe WiFi issue and re-pair everything up again

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, restart both your router and your tablet.
Since apparently things were working fine before but the problem started three weeks ago, it sounds like (bad pun intended) this is just a one-off glitch kind of thing, especially since it's only happening with only some calls but not all.

Are you using something like a Google Voice phone number or a cellular carrier-provided phone number?
Are you using a USB Type-C headset or a Bluetooth headset?
