Galaxy Note 1 doesn't ring

I have a Samsung galaxy note 1, there is no ring when calls incoming. I went to setting-->sound-->phone ringtone and notification ringtone, it shown "the application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly". please help how to fix this problem, thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you rooted or unrooted?

If unrooted, try booting into the Recovery menu and clearing the system cache partition. I think these steps should work for your Note, but let me know if they don't: Reset: Samsung Galaxy Note II | T-Mobile Support. You won't lose any personal data.

I have tried to wipe cache partition, but it is still not working.
