Mobile Data Problems

[AC Question]

I use Samsung Galaxy star and my carrier is loop mobile my mobile data seems to be working fine outside once I move a few miles from my house but it doesnt work at home..if it does..it comes on for a little while with those up-down arrows then says G and goes off..I called the service providers and they helped with a new APN..but it was of no use..if I do a factory reset Im afraid I might lose my contacts.help

Have you ever had good mobile data signal at home with any other devices? And any neighbours there may be nearby?
