Playing DVD from micro SD card on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

[AC Question]

Assuming I have properly transferred a movie to a micro SD card, how to I play it on the Galaxy Tab 3? The movie title shows up under "files" but I can't see any way to play actually play it. Help appreciated. I'm technologically challenged so please be kind.

Welcome to Android Central! What video format is the movie in? The stock video player may not be compatible with too many formats. Assuming you obtained the movie file legally, you should be able to use a video player app like MX Player, which is compatible with a broad range of formats.

Did the file transfer successfully complete? Then you need check the file size because Android devices including Galaxy Tab 3 only recognizes SD card that is FAT32 formatted, that limits a single file size less than 4gb. And the file format you could check too, make sure it is accepted by this tablet, for example mp4.
