Hello,
I have an unrooted ZTE Supreme on Virgin Mobile. Lately, and seemingly randomly, I've run into a couple issues with voice calling.
For starters, I cannot turn off Call Forwarding. I never turned it in the first place. Whenever I select "Disable," the phone dials *720. It rings a few times and then hangs up, leaving the setting unchanged. I've tried calling *73 (as reccomend by the internet) and receive the message "The number or code you have dialed is incorrect. Please check the number or code and try again." Whenever I dial *70 (also reccomend online) I get the message "The feature code you have dialed is not valid. " My work around was to set the persistantly on Call Forwarding number to my cell number. It works for a while but has recently been forgetting that setting. I really want to just turn off call forwarding all together, but I'm out of ideas on how to.
The second issue involves calling out. I can text perfectly fine, but if I try to call from a text message, or any number saved from a text, I get "The number or code you have dialed is incorrect. Please check the number or code and try again" again. I figured out that my dialer doesn't like the + sign in front of the country code.
These things used to not happen, but suddenly, this phone decided it didn't like making phone calls. A factory reset might help, bit I am not looking forward to backing up my contacts and reinstalling and configuring my apps. For me, that is an absolute last resort.
Any ideas or insight will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.
