How can I wipe a stolen Samsung S4?

A

AC Question

I managed to leave my girlfriend's Samsung S4 in a taxi and when I called the phone immediately after leaving the taxi it was switched off and so I'm sure it was stolen. Is there a way she can wipe everything from the phone so that no one can access the notes and pictures that were saved in it? Please do not suggest any apps which needed to be installed on the phone before losing it - only methods that do not require the stolen phone at all will be helpful at this point.

Thanks very much for your help.

Try android device manager, when the phone is turned on you should be able to track it and remotely wipe it. It's a service of Google I believe so you don't need to download anything she just has to log in with her Google info that's associated with her phone. A little invasive but useful.
