About a year ago, when I retired my Pixel 4 after years of loyal service, I looked for a replacement. One of my prerequisites, apart from running Android, was that the phone could cast to my Samsung Smart TV. Sadly, the Pixel 6 available at the time didn't offer native casting - it required ChromeCast - so I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S22 instead. Its casting functionality is fine, but I'm underwhelmed by all of the Samsung apps that clutter my phone in addition to the Android apps I know much better. With the recent buzz surrounding the Pixel 8, I was hoping that perhaps casting had been restored to the Pixel family. I had asked this question directly to Google and received an answer that implied that the person responding didn't understand the question. Can anyone settle this once and for all? Thanks in advance!
