Galaxy Tab 3 won't turn back on after kitkat update!

[AC Question]

I started the update to kitkat, but now my tablet won't do anything...no lights when charging and can't get it to start up. Help! I'm terrified!!

I wonder whether disconnecting and reconnecting the battery would help. It's not as easy as removing and replacing a battery in a phone, but you may care to consider it:
