AC Question

Firstly I have not bricked or tried to modify my device in any way.

A couple of weeks ago, my phone started getting in a fastboot / bootloader loop.

The initial screen is:

*** LOCKED ***
M4_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.21.0000
IS-2.12.61.3
eMMC-boot 1024MB
Dec 3 2013,23:49:27.0

BOOTLOADER
REBOOT
REBOOT BOOTLOADER
POWER DOWN

On the bootloader screen I get:

FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
CLEAR STORAGE
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CC
SHOW BARCODE

All options ultimately just restart the phone and keep the phone in a bootloader loop - even the recovery and factory reset don't work.

I thought the issue had been caused by a recent OS update to Android that I downloaded and installed however the issue also seems to occur when simply restarting the device.

After a prolonged period of a good few hours (or just luck) the device eventually boots back into Android but I can't obviously run the outstanding OS update or restart my phone without the same issue occuring.

Any suggestions?

Too late to help you, I imagine, but I got myself into that state trying to recover from what appeared to be a dead phone. I read elsewhere to hold the power and up volume buttons down for about 15 seconds and that booted the phone into the screen you mention. To get out of it, I did the same and held the power and up volume buttons for 15 seconds again. If I recall correctly, the device turned off (or may have just started, but if not) then when I pressed the power button the phone started and came back up to normal Android mode and everything is working (so far). Good luck!
