When roaming or otherwise, why doesn't the phone automatically insert a 1 in order to dial long D.

AC Question

Can anyone direct me to a feature on the Note 3 that would automatically insert a "1" (if one is not there) to make long distance calls when necessary? I don't want to have to put a 1 in front of every area code for each contact in my contact list.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have to enter the 1 in front of the area code? I was under the impression that cellphone calls don't require the 1. I don't have to on T-Mobile.

Yes....tried Rogers......no luck there. They say it is a device issue and there must be a setting to adjust. I know BlackBerry had a such a setting to avoid putting "1" in front of your Contact numbers when dialing long distance.
