Browser after KitKat update (Acer tablet)

It used to be possible to save pages for offline reading and all the work I had done locating pages had disappeared with this update.
Is it possible to still do this, if so how as I can't find it

If you install the app pocket, you can save pages to that and read them later

It's browser-dependent. Chrome works differently than Opera, which works differently than Firefox, which works differently than ... etc. Install the older version of the browser you were using and you'll get back the older capabilities (and lose the newer ones). Anyone still running the older version can make an apk file of it for you, and you can install it by just running the apk file. (The default app for apk files is the app installer.)
