AC Question

I have had my Galaxy S5 for a few months now. When I got it, I also got the s-view case. The case has worked fine, until recently.

Now, when I open the case, the phone does not wake up. And when I close the case, it does not change to the small window view.

Note: If I go to Settings | Accessories the S View options are listed; so the phone still does recognize that the s-view case is on.

Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?

I think the issue may be related to the case having damaged contacts that would trigger the device to detect the case being open or closed.

If all settings for S-View appear to be properly selected, then you can try a factory reset of the device in hopes that it's related to software or something else causing interference with S-View. Be sure to backup you data and sync with your accounts. Let us know how it goes.

Maybe the magnet on your case has shifted or something might be blocking it? In a worse scenario, the SENSOR inside your phone has moved, but let's figure out if it's the case first.

Do you have anything else with a magnet somewhere? If so, try placing that close to the screen. Now, I'm not sure exactly where the sensor should be, but they're usually somewhere around the edges of the phone (on the S4 it was on the left side, next to the volume rocker).
