Why is it on my LG G3 the stock dialer and messaging apps keep crashing?

LG G3 stock dialer and messaging app keeps crashing

I recently bought a LG G3 in Hong Kong and inserted my US sim card into it to use in the States. The phone works very well, but on occasion, I will not receive certain notifications, such as messages, missed calls, snapchats. Then when I try to press my dialer, messaging or contacts app, it crashes. I would have to restart my phone, in order for these notifications to appear and for these apps to work. All other apps (whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram) work, but for some reason not the stock ones.

Does anyone know why this might be the case and if there is anything that can be done, that doesn't resort to doing a factory reset?

Im having the same issue, just on the contacts app when i try to edit. I have the T-Mobile USA version...i called support and they had me refresh the running apps under the apps program in the general tab...it worked when it was done but then has done it numerous times...not sure what the heck it is but its frustrating...having to make changes online thru google website....weird issue.
