Can I recover a deleted picture that is still showing as my lock screen without rooting my phone?

I accidentally deleted a photo yesterday that I use as my lock screen photo.It still shows up on my lock screen. Is there a way to recover this photo to my picture gallery without a recovery program? I am totally tech unsavvy and I am afraid to root my phone.Thanks!

I do not believe there is a way to recover deleted photos.
The system holds the lockscreen photo until another is chosen and then it will be gone too.
