Why is my S3 saying it is docked but I do not have a dock?

my S3 says it is docked- but I do not have a dock and more ghosts

my S3 has been doing strange things without my doing anything. It says it is docked, but I do not have a dock. it makes strange beeps and opens and closes apps by itself. I have done a factory reset, but does not seem to help....

Try a Cache Partition wipe as well...sometimes the Cache Partition is apparently not wiped by default when doing a Factory Reset.

It could also be dirt in the microUSB connector (use a vacuum cleaner, never blow dirt back into the phone) or the center bar of the connector could be bent to one side enough to be causing a short to the shell.
