Can you sync your apps between devices again if you've already done it?

Today I bought a new phone (Moto X) and wanted to transfer the apps from my old one (Galaxy S3). They did sync as soon as I set up the phone but it turns out, the Galaxy hasn't synced with Google for over a month and there are lots of apps that weren't synced (I don't know why, to be honest). So I synced them manually now and while they do show on the Google Play website, the Moto X doesn't want to download any of them automatically. Can I somehow force it to download them just like it did the first time without having to wipe the phone and start from scratch?

I've found that some apps won't install automatically on a new device after finishing the Setup Wizard. You may just have to go to the Play Store, go to My Apps, then All, and start installing from there.

Or back them up on the Galaxy by installing App Backup & Restore (or Helium if you want to back up the data too), then install the app on the Moto, copy the backup folder to the Moto (or back up to the external SD card and then move it over) and restore.
