My note 4 is complete. My win 7 desktop and note 10.1 are missing a lot of entries.

Calendars. My name, my calendar and my calendars. All reference my Gmail account.

Any ideas.

How are you looking at your Google Calendar on the Windows 7 desktop? Are you using the Google Calendar website on your browser? That's where you can most reliably control it. What entries are you missing? Are they from a specific calendar? Are you sure you have all calendars displayed on your desktop and your Note 10.1?

Also, are you sure the Note 10.1 is set to sync? Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], and make sure Calendar is checked.

On your Note 4, which is complete, open the contact app. Select Menu, Settings, Contacts, then select Contacts to Display (doing this from memory, as I no longer have a Samsung...lol). In contacts to Display, it should be defaulting to showing All Contacts. You can select a different circle on each account that may add contacts to your list. Waze can add contacts. Facebook can. Yahoo mail app can. Select a circle for Phone. Then go back to your contacts. Are there are any, or many contacts displayed? If so, these were entered on the phone, and not in your Gmail, and they would not transfer. If no contacts displayed, then I am stumped.

Ok, to be clear--are you sure the calendar events you're entering on the Note 4 are associated with the Google calendar, and not the Phone calendar? Events and contacts associated with the Phone account don't get synced to your Google account, as KeepItReal mentioned.

I'm using Google calendar on my phone, tablet and am going to google.com to access my calendar on win 7 desktop. I am syncing from phone to my Google account.

I have a Note 3 with the latest Google Calendar app which integrated with the previous Samsung Calendar app afaik (I also have the S-Planner calendar but that has been discontinued in many areas).

So my/your calendar app can show the Google Calendar, Samsung's (cloud) Calendar, and My Calendar the device calendar only but can sync with Samsung Kies on a pc via usb or wifi.

My Samsung account uses my Gmail address (need not), so all 3 default calendars on the app start with my Gmail address, which can be confusing.
Far as I can tell, only entries under Events get put on the Google Calendar, so that has to be checked as showing a color. Entries under your Gmail address further down the Calendar list would enter on the Samsung or My Calendar err calendar. I tested the Google Events entries on both pc and app. All Google entries on the app go under Events.
This is what B. Diddy was asking.

You may know all this, but that was worth 2 cents of my time!
I may be wrong.

Yes, Madd54 elaborated on the point I was making--within Google Calendar, you usually have a couple of calendar accounts that you can create events in--your Google account (which syncs with your Google account in the cloud), and the Phone or Device account (which doesn't sync with Google). I am wondering if the events on your Note that aren't syncing across your devices were entered into the Note's Device account.

Which account refers to the phone account? When I moved from the note 3 to the 4 all my schedule came over to the 4. Calendars my calendars
my calendar
my Gmail address

all at my Gmail address

AND. Samsung account

at my yahoo address

They are all listed on my phone and set to sync.

It may be the "My Calendar" account that is the Phone account. Although I'm not sure if the Samsung account syncs with Google, either. Madd54, any comments?

You want everything on Google. Try to enter an event / appointment on the pc browser. On the apps touch refresh on the 3 dot overflow menu upper right, and see if it appears under the Event Calendar on the apps. How often or how quickly an event appears to sync on a device I don't know.

If you still have problems, a screenshot of the app settings on both like mine would help, after you wipe over your personal details / email.
