Do I have to register my Samsung S5 with Samsung?

Hi,

I was wondering I have a samsung account. Do you have to register your device with samsung or with any manufacturer for that matter?


Also is there anyway to enable knox or install it on the S5?

No. I never did when I had Samsung.

Some things sync to your Samsung account that don't anywhere else, depending on the model, like Samsung Calendar, Contacts, Internet browser, Scrapbook and S-Notes - so it's worth having.
Well most sync to Kies on a pc, but you would lose Scrapbook files for one.

If you are not on a carrier, Samsung will deal with you direct for warranty in the UK. I got mine indirectly from an Amazon unopened purchase.
So it's worth having.
