Why can't I use the fingerprint lock on my s5 with credentials

When I try connecting to a certain wifi, it makes me download a certificate in order to user it. When I install the certificate, it says that I have to have either a pin or a password. How can I use the fingerprint scanner as the screen lock while using the wifi?
