Why does my app restart after switching back (LG G3 2GB Ram KitKat)?

App restarts after switching back (LG G3 2GB Ram KitKat)

This only happens on my LG G3 2GB Ram with KitKat.
I previously had a MotoX 1st gen (also KitKat) and it didn't happen.

When I switch from my app (a game) to another app (Camera or Chrome, for example), then I go back to my game, it restarts.

On my MotoX, even after many app switches, when I switched back to my game it was still running.

Questions:
1. Is there a way to prevent the game being "garbage collected"?
2. Is this a LG G3 bug?

Tried to find any info about it for many days and found nothing.

Welcome to Android Central! It's probably dependent on the firmware and what other apps the system prefers to keep open. LG will have some different system or preinstalled apps than Moto, so it's possible that LG prefers to keep some apps in RAM that might bump out a big game when you switch out of it. Are you able to compare what apps are typically running between the LG and the Moto phones?
