There is no SU binary installed and Super SU cannot install it, how do I get around this problem?

There is no SU binary installed and Super SU cannot install it. This is a problem!

I have a lenovo A388t android 4.1.2 . So i tried rooting the phone
i installed Super SU (CWM says it needs it to run) it opens with an error message saying that
there is no SU binary installed and that it cant install it. I am pretty much a complete noob,
can someone please tell me how to fix it without totally destroying my phone? Thanks

I have the same problem.. I installed custom recovery via adb and it was giving me the android exclamation mark when I went to recovery mode (with CWM) but when I flash TWRP it work, now when i install super user its giving the the no binary found and be installed. I have a MOTO X XT1095 second gen with lolipop.
