Why has my Samsung S5 call log copy to dialing screen stopped working?

samsung s5 call log copy to dialling screen not working

From the call log, press + then copy to dialling screen...

Nothing happens, only work around is to send the number and copy from there, but that's just long.

Any idea how to fix this or is it just a bug?

There isn't even a sign of that feature on the Notes 4 with 4.4.4 which is really annoying.
I have virtual landlines associated with my phone and each one presents with a different prefix to tell me which number was called. I can't copy to dial screen and edit the prefix off to return the call.
I love this on my old Galaxy S3 but the Note 4 sucks without it.

i can't copy numbers from my call log on my samsung edge. there are times i have to copy a new number and send that number to someone else but i can't seem to find a way to copy the number. please help. thanks
