what to do if device says com.android.phone has stopped

I downloaded the recent software update and ever since then i havea error that pops up stating unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped. What do i do????

Try wiping the Cache Partition in Recovery.
Try also Settings, Storage, Cached Data, and wipe the cache.
