I am unable to view my contacts.
I have a Moto E running on Kitkat 4.4.4. My contacts got deleted when I synced with Gmail. Thankfully, I had a backup of my contacts and was able to import them back and from then, stopped syncing. However, now I am unable to edit and update my contacts. Doing so causes my contacts to be hidden. I am able to view the contacts’ names when I dial their number and I can even view the contacts through applications like WhatsApp, but I can’t view the contacts in the contacts app(called People). Please give me instructions to get back my contacts intact.
I tried deleting the app data and then re-imported the contacts file, but in vain.
