AC Question

My new Nexus 7 (2013) - bought a few weeks ago - worked fine out of the box.
There was an option to select front or rear camera.

They there was a s/w upgrade to Android 5.0.2

The front camera option is no longer there.
The rear camera works.

Any idea when Google might get around to putting this right?310

Welcome to Android Central! When you open the Camera app, tap the 3-dot menu button at the lower right and tell us what icon you see all the way to the right. That should be the front/rear camera toggle.

Yes, it works! Though the icon is very small, and not at all obvious .....
It was far clearer in the Android 4 version! Thanks for helping me out!

Can you tell me exactly what the other 2 icons do?
One is a crossed-out circle. the other is a crossed-out chequer-board.

The checkerboard simply overlays a grid on your viewfinder, as an aid to compose your photo. The circle with the line is a timer, so you can set the photo to be taken 3 seconds or 10 seconds after you tap the shutter.
