Why does my S5 Active Droid battery drain so quickly?

S5 Active Droid update battery drains quickly, can't stay in email...

Since updating the Droid software about a week ago on my S5 Active, my phone's battery drains very fast and I can barely check my email on my phone. I either can't get the app to open or it sits and then exits the email app. Or I get into the email app but will get booted out with a message, "Unfortunately email has stopped." I found I had a bunch of apps running which I stopped them but the battery still drains really fast. I didn't have any issues prior to the update. Any suggestions?? Thanks

Wipe the Cache Partition in Recovery.

Also, go to Settings, Storage, Cached Data, and clear the cache.

See what those things do and if necessary get back to us.
