Why isn't my Galaxy Tab 3 charging in the car via usb lead to car lighter socket?

galaxy tab 3 not charging in car via usb lead to car lighter socket, help please

galaxy tab 3, charges perfictally via usb cable and power sockets supplied with tablet at home, but when using the lead to charge pad in car, tablet just goes flickerign blue and nothing else, treid two diff chargers and variations but still not charging, cables work ok as can charge mobile phone up no problem. help please as samsung says not enough power from car socket to charge tablet, wrong as can charge another tablet no problem.

Welcome to Android Central! Not all devices behave the same way. What's the other tablet that successfully charges using the car charger? It may be a difference in the firmware--Samsung might require a higher current than the car charger can provide.

erm dont know exact model but do know its a larger samsung galaxy white 10 inch ipad. not mine but my parents. his pad works no problem in both mine and their vehicles.

oh its a galaxy tab2 my parents have got , white about 9 inch i think its size. dont ask or model number as i didnt get that bit.

how can a larger galaxy tab 2 need less than a smaller galaxy3 tablet? and i know my dad has mo0re memroy etc on his pad.
