Sorry to hear your phone got stolen Unfortunately, the only way to remotely wipe the data on it or a location trigger would be either through your MySamsung account IF you set it up for it (when you log in or create your Samsung Account in your phone there are options to let it track it or remotely wipe it). You can also try and do it from the Google Play Device Manager (log into the Google account used on the phone on https://forums.androidcentral.com/e.../https://play.google.com/store&token=JVHz-UnL and tap the gear icon on the right. There, select Device Manager).
Again, for any of these to work, your phone needs to be turned on and have a valid data connection. Once you initiate the wipe command, it will hit your phone when those conditions are met, even if the phone wasn't on at the moment you initiated it.
Also, depending on your carrier, they might be able to 'blacklist' your IMEI, which would prevent your phone to be used with any SIM from that network (or if they have internetwork agreements, on any network at all).
