Why only my battery is shown on screen?

Yesterday, there was a sound from my phone and i was neglected it. When I woke up my phone was turned off. When i plug it of charge it, only the battery is shown, and I am not able to turn on even i press the turn on button. Last night, I used my phone for 2 hours, and it was charging for a long time. how can i turn it on?

Welcome to Android Central! What does the battery icon show? Is it charging? Is there a red X or a circle with a line through it?

Leave it charging on a wall outlet for at least 4 hours, undisturbed. Then try powering on by pressing and holding Power for at least 10-15 seconds. If nothing happens, then the battery might have failed. Can you remove it? If so, try a new one.
