Why can a caller hear background noise on my phone (galaxy S4) while it's still dialing?

Hi, I own a galaxy S4 model SGH-M919. Two days ago the sound from my earpiece went out. Thinking that it was a hardware issue, I opened up my phone and tried cleaning the earpiece and reconnecting it. Since then whenever someone calls me they can hear my phone's ringtone go off and the radio in my room before I even answer the call!

I replaced the earpiece piece today from my friend broken S4 model SCH-I545. That fixed the sound from the earpiece. However, other callers can still hear background noise from my phone while it's still dialing.

Anyone ever have similar problems or have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you notice that your phone continues to ring a little bit even after you've answered it?

No. My phone rings for the same duration.
