How do I change the notification sounds on yahoo messenger?

You should be able to go in to the settings of the app and there should be a notification option in the settings.

There is no settings on the app using Samsung Note 4 .. am I missing something ??
It is the most annoying thing every .. It stuck on default and one cannot hear it..

I have a Note 5. And like you I couldn't find where to change the sounds for yahoo messenger.
I'm betting its the same for you

now you're going to find where options is
now this is where it is not obvious
long hold your back button and a menu pops up at the bottom, you now you have a few selections...
options being one of them...in options you can change your sounds and other stuff.

I'm new to yahoo messager, and I have a Galaxy Note 5. I do not see options for me to change the notification sound. Please Help!!!!!!

I also can't find notification sound on my S10e. I can change what I get notified about in yahoo app settings, but there's no sound setting. I also looked in phone settings under apps, notification. Didn't find anything.

Unfortunately, some app developers don't allow the user to customize the notification tone.

Show us a screenshot of the Settings>Apps menu, after you've selected Yahoo and then Notifications.

Here are 2 screens from S10e. Setting says notification sound & vibration but then there is nothing for sound. This app used to have the ability to choose any ring tone, sound or song. It's only since I got the Galaxy10e that the option disappeared.

What happens if you tap the words (and not the toggle) of a notification category? So in other words, tap on the words "Mail from people" and see if another menu comes up.
