Why won't my Galaxy 2 10.1 connect to the Google Play Store?

I had my tablet turned off for a couple of months because I purchased a Nexus 9. I recently powered my Galaxy 2 back up and now it won't connect to Google Play. I’m connected via wi-fi and I can access websites but for some reason when I try to go to Google Play it says I have no connection. My Nexus has no problem connecting to Google Play. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Try going in to your settings, application manager, all apps, go to the play store app and clear the data. Then open the app and see if it works.
