HTC One Mini sudden battery loss

A

AC Question

I bought my HTC One Mini in April 2015 and have had this problem since day one. I will be using my phone and suddenly - regardless of my battery life - the phone will beep twice and die, with 0% battery. This has happened to me at 8%, 20%, 35%, 55%, 90% battery life. The only solution is to put it to charge and wait.

When I do switch it back on again, the phone asks me which "home app" I would like to use: sense home or nova launcher. After this the phone works fine until its next sudden death.

I presume there is a factory error with the phone, some short circuit. Is there anything I can do myself or do I have to return it to the manufacturer?

Welcome to Android Central.

In your position I'd simply return the phone for replacement or repair. You've paid for the warranty....use it. :)
I doubt there's anything you can do to fix it yourself.
