AC Question

I have switched a Samsung Galaxy Light from T-Mobile to Cricket Wireless. The voice and text work fine, but it says it cannot find the data network. I've tried manually putting in every variation of the APN I've been able to find online with no luck. If I switch to "Allow data roaming" I can get a data connection. I'm wondering if the phone for some reason is looking for the T-Mobile data network as a default and that is the problem? Or could it be something else?

It's looking for the data network you have in your SIM card. If you have a Cricket SIM card in it, it's looking for Cricket's network (which is AT&T's towers).

From Cricket's site:

Name: Internet
APN: ndo
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: Not Set
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.aiowireless.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.aiowireless.net
MMS Port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 150
Authentication type: Not Set
APN type: default,mms,fota,hipri,supl
Note: on the above APN type be sure to enter it exactly as it is listed& don't include any spaces!

(That last note refers to the APN Type line. It's default, mms, not default, mms.)

If that doesn't work, bring it in to Cricket. (BTW, the Name line is just so you know which one it is if you have more than one APN. You could call it Cricket if you wanted.)
