Upgrading to Lollipop Memory issue

A

AC Question

I have Note 4 with 4.4.4. android version. The device is rooted. I could not upgrade over wifi because of the root so I connected my phone to Kies3 using the original USB cable that came in the box with the phone.

My internal phone memory is 10.4 GB/24.57 GB and external memory is 28GB/59.47GB

When I try to upgrade to Lollipop i get message that atleast 3GB is needed please delete programs, SMS ...etc to free up more space

This does not make sense since I have clearly much more than 3 GB.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

I would appreciate if you could provide how much internal storage is used currently. But I personally would not recommend upgrading to 5.0 since a couple of my friends did and had numerous issues with it. If I were you, I would stay on 4.4.4 KitKat to avoid problems. I have no issues with 4.4.2 KitKat on my tablet, but when I tested 5.0 on it, it was a nightmare.
