Why am I getting the message "Unfortunately, Bluetooth has stopped" when it hasn't?

When I am listening to a podcast with my Bluetooth headphones, a dialog box pops up with the message "Unfortunately, Bluetooth has stopped" while the Bluetooth is working! I have to click "OK" to get rid of the dialog box or all other features are blocked, and when I do, the Bluetooth shuts off! I have tried several podcatchers, including Pocket Casts, BeyondPod, Podcast Addict, and Doggcatcher, and the same problem keeps happening. I use the same headphones, Jaybird Freedom Sprints, with my iPod Touch, on which I have iCatcher, and that set-up works perfectly. I haven't found any setting in the phone that corrects this problem. The phone is an LG G3 Vigor. Do you think this is an LG problem or an Android problem?
