Why doesn't my new photos app store screenshots?

New "photos" app doesn't store screenshots

I recently got the new photos update on my nexus 5. It has a lot of new features but I noticed that all of my screenshots are gone and I can no longer save images from snapchat. It only displays photos directly taken with my phones camera. Is there anything I can do about this??

On the photos app open the side menu and select device folders. That can be done swiping in from the left edge or with the hamburger menu top left.
