Cannot find contacts transfered using quick connect?

I used the quick connect feature to transfer my contacts from my galaxy S4 to my new S6, but they are not showing up in my contacts even when I choose to display ALL contacts? I know I messed up originally by not backing up my contacts for some time prior to getting my new phone, but there has to be a way to either find the contacts I just transferred, or maybe an even better way to get them ?
