Failed backups taking up too much space on Nexus 4

I have a Nexus 4 and I just recently rooted it, I've been trying to make backups of my stock ROM and it fails because I don't have enough space on my sdcard. However, the failed backups take up a ton of space and I cannot find out how to find them and delete them. I really need help with this so if you could reply ASAP I would be very grateful thanks again!

What are you using to make backups of the ROM? TWRP?
