Just got the latest update for my S5 from ATT and now my contacts list is constantly updating

seems the contacts functionality is in a continuous update mode for several hours. The rest of the phone seems to work normally. Have restarted several times with no effect. Can you help? This is the July 1 update. Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Are they Google contacts? Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account], uncheck Contacts, then check it again. Does it finish the sync now? If not, try removing your Google account completely, then adding it back again.
