Buying new Android phone - Need Help

I am willing to buy a new android phone & one tablet.
What would be the advice to buy a phone , and tablet?

I personally lean towards pure android phones like nexus, because i like to have new operating system on them. I already own nexus 4, but am willing to know how longer will i keep getting support and updates for latest os.

I dont own any tablets.

Whats out there latest as pure android phones?

The Nexus 5 is still a good option. If price and size is not an issue then take a look at the Nexus 6. The closest to a Nexus would be a Motorola phone. I've been reading good reviews about the Alcatel Idol 3. Lots of options, it will depend on your budget, size preference and minimum specs.
